The Bible instructs us to earnestly seek justice and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves (Isaiah 1:17; Proverbs 31:9) and so one of the purposes of the mission is to provide an environment in which participants can gain not just an intellectual understanding of this instruction but a deep, heart felt realisation of God’s desire to liberate the poor from oppression and injustice that will stay with them throughout their legal careers.

A second major aim of the summer mission is to encourage participants to mature in their faith and develop a new closeness in their relationship with the Lord, resulting from a different level of reliance and trust brought about by the cross-cultural experience (i.e. embracing East African culture as opposed to maintaining our Western lifestyles and habits whilst in East Africa) and stepping out of comfort zones.
This team is being organised in partnership with BMS World Mission.
