WHY JOIN?
In the busy world of the Christian lawyer, one of the most natural questions to ask about LCF is “why join?”
We encourage you to think about joining LCF as an act of commitment that as a Christian lawyer you share in our mission to influence lawyers and the law for Christ. Irrespective of any other involvement you might choose to have with LCF, the act of becoming a member is of great value in supporting our vision to unite and equip Christian lawyers and to witness to members of the legal profession.
We believe that every Christian involved in the practice, administration, teaching or study of law in Britain, should become a member of LCF so that we can work with you and for you in your calling as a Christian lawyer.
WITH YOU
LCF commends its regional prayer and support groups to members at all stages of their legal careers. The groups give the opportunity to meet with fellow Christian lawyers, to study God’s word together, to establish friendships and to “encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Th 5:11).
Through conferences, hosted debates, talks by guest speakers (CPD points may be available), an annual carol service, our magazine (The Christian Lawyer), an emailed “word for the week”, and much more, we will work with you and support you in the exciting challenge of being a lawyer for Christ.
FOR YOU
LCF represents and speaks on behalf of the corporate body of Christian lawyers in order to uphold Biblical values in the law. By harnessing the collective voice of all our members, LCF is able to stand up for these values in a much more effective way than any individual lawyer could do.
By undertaking work in developing countries for you, LCF also enables its members to participate fully in seeking justice abroad, even if practicalities mean that many members are unable to travel overseas themselves.
